Youth – Care (Capacity building, Action and Responsibility for the Environment)
2024 – 2025 European Union (Erasmus+)
We are excited to announce the launch of our new project Youth-CARE (Capacity building, Action and Responsibility for the Environment), initiated through the Erasmus+ program.
This two-year project is led by Beyond Barriers – Pertej Barrierave from Tirana, in collaboration with four expert organizations in the fields of environmental protection and non-formal education: ANCE – Greece, TDM 2000 International – Italy, The Door Albania – Shkodër, Albania, and MES, representing Montenegro
At a time when environmental issues are matters of survival and therefore of fundamental importance, the Youth-CARE project aims to empower young people to become drivers of positive change and initiatives toward a more sustainable future. We believe that the environment is a key issue of the future, and that youth have a crucial role in leading action.
Our contribution to this project focuses on providing knowledge and tools to analyse environmental problems at local, national, and international levels.
Over the next two years, our joint efforts will include a wide range of activities, such as: research on non-formal environmental education, case studies, outdoor education programs, youth exchanges, youth-led initiatives, training of trainers, the development of practical tools, and more. Through this diverse approach, hundreds of young individuals, experts, and institutional stakeholders will be engaged, each contributing in their own way to the creation of a methodology that will enable young people to better understand their environment and contribute to its improvement.
