Bosnian pine trees! How can we truly convey their magic so that you can really experience it?

Beyond the scientific understanding of their language, their importance, and their connection with us, Bosnian pine forests are only truly understood when we feel and experience them with our whole being.

That’s why we decided to organise art residencies in the mountains where the Bosnian pine reigns – or once reigned – before we lost these forests to fires; now we witness monuments of destruction but also the gentle, persistent natural renewal of these ecosystems, which are among our most important natural mountain stories, stories that have been telling themselves since before the Ice Age.

P.S. If you want to be part of our residencies or help us shout the beauty of the munikas to the world with your art and creativity, write to us!

The residencies and exhibition are part of the project “From educating and connecting children with nature, through dendrochronological research, to raising awareness about climate changes in Montenegro over the past centuries”, co-funded by the European Union and the Government of Montenegro.
