Asja Mijović, an art student at Tufts University in Boston who grew up in Montenegro, found inspiration for one of her paintings in the Komarnica Canyon.
Komarnica inspired me because it overflows with life. On the canyon’s rock walls, you can see traces of organisms that have shaped the ecosystem over millions of years.

As for us personally, we can gaze at any part of this painting for a long time, because it evokes the same emotions we feel while wandering through our country in search of plants and animals.
