The Mora\u010da River<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, together with its tributaries, represents one of the last large free-flowing river systems in the Balkans, with a total length of approximately 500 kilometres. As part of the Blue Heart of Europe<\/a>, the Mora\u010da holds exceptional natural value and biodiversity, comparable to the Vjosa River<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, which has been designated Europe\u2019s first Wild River National Park.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project \u201cProtection of the Mora\u010da<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> aims to ensure long-term, science-based, and inclusive protection of the Mora\u010da River basin. Through a comprehensive approach, the project will develop a conservation model that preserves the river\u2019s natural processes, biodiversity, and ecosystem services, while simultaneously supporting sustainable local development.<\/p><\/p>\n\n\n\n
